I'm very excited to announce I will be hosting a Newborn and Family Photography Workshop!
This workshop is for anyone interested in working with newborn photography independently of your skill level or equipment (you are welcome to use my cameras and lenses if you don't have yours yet). It's ideal for you to learn the craft of taking beautiful newborn photos, edit them professionally, have the photos to use in your own portfolio and start your own business.
Workshop for ONLY 3 PEOPLE, can be paid in 3x instalments with Klarna. All you will learn can be used for any family photography (baby, children's, maternity and branding photography.
It's an AMAZING investment - with only 2 paid sessions you can pay it all back and have a skill for life! Being a family photographer is amazing, gives you so much flexiblity on schedule and I honestly can't recommend it enough. I have had mentors when I first started, and in total paid much more (and took me a lot longer) to learn all I'm happy to teach you in one day.

Time: 9am - 4.30pm
Local: My studio, King House Photography, at Oak Studio, Leegomery Community Centre, Leegate Ave, Telford TF1 6NA. There are plenty of car parking, and a lift (as our studio is on the 1st floor).
The schedule is:
9am (Theory):
Introductions
Overview of a Newborn and Family Session
Discussion about equipment: lighting, diffusers, triggers, camera and lenses
Discussion about props
Discussion about editing softwares
Discussion about baby safety, settling and handling
Preparation of Sets
10.30am (Practical):
Understanding Camera Settings (Manual Mode, shutter speed, ISO, aperture) by shooting sets
Understanding Lighting (Angles, diffusers, and how it needs to change with baby poses / family poses)
11.30am - Quick early lunch break (provided by me!)
12pm - 3pm - Model Call shooting. Start of real shooting, where I will go through baby preparation, wrapping, and go through all sets prepared and as many poses as possible (baby only and also family photos, including backlit photos). You will have the chance to photograph yourself (using your own equipment or my equipment).
3-4.30pm - Editing Newborn Photos and Business Discussions (pricing, marketing).
Equipment recommended:
Camera Body with Manual Mode
Lenses (either prime lenses, 35mm 1.8F, or a zoom lens 24-70mm 2.8F)
(You are welcome to use my equipment on the day - just please bring your own SD card so you can keep the photos you take. You will be able to use my trigger for the off-camera flash and lighting.)
